One the first day of summer, I met Shayla + Jelani for their sunset engagement session at Montaluce winery and restaurant in Dahlonega, GA. We started later in the evening to allow the sun to set a little, but we still managed to get some gorgeous sunlit images, golden hour images, and blue hour images. located about an hour outside of the city of Atlanta, Montaluce is the perfect location if you are looking for those vineyard views that transport you to a little piece of Italy. 

The couple had two looks for their session the first was more playful and casual a soft yellow dress for the bride to be while Jelani wore slacks and a white top to complement her.  Their second look upped the ante as they opted for more formal looks, with a white dress and heels and deep blue suits with a white button down to match. 

We paused for wine and chacuterie in between the first and second look to give the sun a little more time to set.  When I looked back at the date we realized it was the longest day of the year (noting that for next year).

But we had a great time stepping away from life as we know it to capture and celebrate these two as they begin their journey towards the aisle in 2026.
